As the newly appointed Principal of Grindon Hall Christian School, it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to view our website at this exciting phase in our development. We are a 4-18 school whose core values of ‘Respect, Integrity, Courtesy and Honesty’ permeate all we do. Although high levels of academic achievement and progress are very important to us, we place equally high value on nurturing those important personal characteristics which will lead to our young people fulfilling their dreams and making a positive contribution to the community in which they live.
Our learning environment offers a blend of traditional and modern facilities, and reflects our traditional yet modern approach to educating young people; traditional Christian values which underpin exciting and innovative approaches to learning. As a former independent school, our class sizes are considerably smaller than those in most schools. Our children are wonderfully supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff who know each of them as individuals, and who take great pride in seeing them grow and flourish as they progress through the primary, senior and 6th form phases of our school.
We welcome young people of all faiths and none and our aim is to provide excellence for all in everything we do. We believe this can only be achieved by developing strong links with home and we actively encourage parental support and engagement in all areas of school life. We share our parents’ high expectations of their children and take great pride in fostering an atmosphere in which we reward and celebrate the unique talents and individual successes of all.
We are a welcoming and inclusive school and are proud to serve our local area. Should you wish to find out more about the school, you are more than welcome to contact the school office to arrange a visit.
