Subjects

Our 6th form is small and welcoming and our students benefit from small class sizes, personalised support and our supportive Christian Ethos. Our 6th form students play an important role in enhancing school life for other areas of the school community, for example in performing the roles of head boy and head girl, supporting at whole school events and offering guidance to children lower down in the school.

Because of our scale, we work closely with the 6th form at the City of Sunderland College and some of our student study across two sites, receiving the majority of their learning and pastoral support within school, but being taken to college to study for additional qualifications. Because of this flexible arrangement, we are able to offer a wide range of qualifications including:

Art
Biology
Business Studies
Chemistry
English Language

English Literature
French
Geography
Government and Politics

History
Mathematics
Further Mathematics
Music
Physics
Psychology
Religious Studies
Sociology

Within tutor groups,  students explore a number of topics relating to leadership in addition to preparing for university life.
